Our History

Southwest Desert Wildlife Rescue was founded in response to a growing need for specialized care for injured and displaced wildlife in Arizona’s desert regions. What began as a small group of dedicated volunteers providing emergency assistance quickly grew into an organized rescue effort focused on ethical rehabilitation and responsible release.

Over time, the organization expanded its capabilities to include medical treatment, rehabilitation facilities, and educational outreach programs. By partnering with veterinarians, conservation groups, and community members, Southwest Desert Wildlife Rescue has helped countless animals recover and return to the wild while raising public awareness about protecting native species and their habitats.
